They’ve beaten up on each other for years but now they’ll band together for an exhibition game against the St. Paul Saints.
Green Isle will roll out the red carpet Saturday, May 11 for the St. Paul Saints in an exhibition game against the Crow River Valley League all-stars.
It’ll be a whole day of events with the game taking place at 4 p.m. at The Yard in Green Isle.
“We want it to be memorable for everyone from the first-time fan to people who have been around for 15-20 years,” said Green Isle’s Zach Herd, who is helping organize the event.
The gates will open at 12:30 p.m. and there will be tailgating events throughout the day. Youth teams will get to have a modified practice, stretch with the Saints and get to shag batting practice for the CRVL all-stars and the Saints. Fans will also get to watch a home run derby between a CRVL player and a Saints player.
Tickets are available for $10 before the game and can be purchased through any CRVL team. Tickets will be $12 at the gate. Admission for students 12 and under is free.
